Biography
Formed in 2004, the English indie pop outfit the Loose Salute centered on the skills of Ian McCutcheon, known for his drumming in Mojave 3, alongside vocalist Lisa Billson. Their first EP, Suck It Up Buttercup, appeared in October of that year. Positive regional and international buzz around the recording soon drew the attention of Chicago-based independent label Graveface, which issued the expanded lineup’s debut full-length, Tuned to Love, in June 2007. Following a four-year hiatus, the group resurfaced in early summer 2011 with its second album, Getting Over Being Under.
