Biography
Known for its hook-centric approach, The Red Button functions as a power pop duo based in Los Angeles, with seasoned singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg at its core. Swirsky gained initial experience writing songs on demand for numerous performers such as Rufus Wainwright, Taylor Dayne, Al Green, and Tina Turner, whereas Ruekberg began by playing alongside the major-label rock group Rex Daisy from Minneapolis and created the music for the independent movie Dummy that starred Adrien Brody. Their well-received first album, She's About to Cross My Mind, came out in 2007, with the follow-up As Far as Yesterday Goes arriving in 2011. The pair put out Now It's All This! in 2017 as a comprehensive overview of their work, featuring refreshed editions of the pair's earlier studio albums plus six fresh songs and acoustic versions of four popular tracks.
