Biography
Forming a blues-rock supergroup known as the Rides, Stephen Stills—previously associated with Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young), and Manassas—joined forces with Barry Goldberg, an alum of Electric Flag, and the guitar virtuoso Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Drawing inspiration from the 1968 release Super Session, on which Stills and Goldberg had collaborated with the late Mike Bloomfield, the trio issued their debut Can't Get Enough during the summer of 2013. Encouraged by the reception of that initial effort, Stills, Goldberg, and Shepherd reconvened in the recording studio for the follow-up Pierced Arrow, which came out in May 2016.
