The Scarlets

The Scarlets emerged in the 1950s as an R&B vocal ensemble fronted by singer Fred Parris, who would later establish the Five Satins. Operating from New Haven, Connecticut, the act committed four singles—now regarded as collector treasures—to Bobby Robinson’s Red Robin label across 1954 and 1955, the most notable being “Dear One.”
