Biography
Formed in 1989, the Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments promptly issued multiple 7" singles to local audiences in Columbus, OH. The quartet—Ron House on vocals, Bob Petric on guitar, Ted Hattemer on drums, and Craig Dunson—delivered their debut full-length Bait and Switch via Onion/American Records in 1995, drawing on noise-infused punk guitar work. Two years afterward, Anyway Records issued the subsequent album Straight to Video, at which point Phil Parks, bassist from Haynes Boys, joined on bass for the Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments' 1997 tour alongside Guided By Voices.
