Biography
Scotland's Tony McManus, counted among the nation's top young guitarists, proved a fitting substitute for Soig Siberil throughout the Celtic Fiddle Festival's spring 1998 tour. The supergroup featured fiddlers Johnny Cunningham, Kevin Burke, and Christian Lemaitre. McManus has sustained his visibility by serving as accompanist to Catriona MacDonald and to ex-Battlefield Band fiddler, guitarist, and vocalist Brian McNeill. In 1999 he teamed with Alisdair Fraser for the duo album Return to Kintail.
