Biography
Hailing from Atlanta, singer-songwriter Wendy Bucklew came of age in the Southern acoustic music milieu that had already propelled the Indigo Girls and Victoria Williams to wider attention. She joined the Indigo Girls for regional tours across the South and shared bills with Donovan, after which a locally issued album achieved strong sales and led to a contract with Intersound. The label released Painting Sidewalks in 1993, an album that includes a guest spot from Kristen Hall together with her core ensemble of Simone Simonton, Tammy Hart, DeeDee Vogt and Ashley Wilson.
