Biography
X Alfonso, the Cuban singer and songwriter known alternatively as Equis Alfonso, fuses jazz, hip-hop and funk together with longstanding mambo and bolero rhythms. Spring 2000 saw the Velas label issue his first album, Real World, which incorporated performances by guitarist Elmer Ferrer, percussionist Oney Cumba and vocalists Ele Valdes, Lien Diaz and Eme Alfonso.
