The mysterious moniker 35007, which inverted reads as "loose," belongs to a quartet of Dutch artists consisting of Mark Sponselee handling guitar, bass, drums, synths and effects, Bertus Fridael on guitar, Michel Boekhoudt playing bass, and Sander Evers at the drums. They create ambient trance-groove compositions that remain largely instrumental in character. Maintaining a low profile, these musicians seldom appear onstage, and on those infrequent occasions enlist a visual expert to craft immersive multimedia presentations engaging multiple senses. Their initial recording, Especially for You from 1994, along with the self-titled 35007 issued in 1997, featured sporadic vocal passages amid the instrumental majority, yet later efforts such as the 2001 EP Sea of Tranquility and the 2002 album Liquid eliminated vocals entirely.
