Born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on June 15, 1951, A. Kanyakumari has performed in both solo and group formats. She has provided accompaniment for artists including M.L. Vasanthakumari, U. Srinivas, and N. Ravikiran. The bulk of her discography exists on cassette albums.
