Biography
Aix Em Klemm, pronounced "Ex M Clem," brings together Adam Wiltzie and Bobby Donne. Wiltzie belongs to Stars of the Lid while Donne performs with Labradford. Their partnership originated through correspondence and produced two recording sessions held at Wiltzie's Austin, TX studio in May 2000. Wiltzie supplies guitar and vocals as Donne centers on bass, after which the pair layers these contributions with samples alongside keyboard melodies and chords. The duo records for Chicago's Kranky Records, the same imprint that lists Detroit's space-rock duo Windy and Carl on its roster.
