Biography
Ajai, born Mohamad Faizal Maas, joined his wife Nurul in a pop duo that put out two albums, with the first finding strong traction on Asian pop charts and especially in their native Malaysia. Over time the pair stepped away from mainstream pop circles, Nurul appearing onstage in the Bollywood musical My Bollywood Summer while Ajai launched the studio and label Wake the Baby. Through that venture they handled both recording and artist development, guiding new acts such as Shazzy and Isad Izuddin. The couple operated from their base in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
