Biography
From her childhood split between Washington, D.C., and a rural Georgia farm, Alice Smith absorbed and performed across an array of musical styles, yet only during her university period did she begin viewing her voice as a viable profession. While providing backup vocals for a group at Fordham University, she found herself in the studio when the manager—who also headed BBE Records in the U.S.—caught the performance. A contract soon materialized, leading to the 2006 arrival of her debut album For Lovers, Dreamers & Me, which blended rock, soul, and R&B. That year also brought her feature on the atmospheric drum'n'bass cut "Haunted by Her Yesterdays" by Logistics. Not until July 2012 did her next project surface: the EP She, issued through the Rainwater label.
