Biography
Anthony Green's soaring vocal range and tireless output as a writer placed him at the center of numerous acts from the late 1990s onward, among them Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer, Saosin, Circa Survive, the Sound of Animals Fighting, and an array of lesser-known outfits. Raised in the Philadelphia region, he first aligned with Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer toward the end of the decade, then moved to Southern California in 2003. Shortly after arriving, he spent a brief period in the screamo group Saosin, exiting prior to the band's eventual contract with Capitol Records. He next emerged alongside Circa Survive, staying with the ensemble through the second half of the 2000s while simultaneously starting a solo trajectory via the 2008 album Avalon. Between that debut and the 2012 follow-up Beautiful Things, Green experienced significant personal milestones, among them marriage and the birth of a son, developments that steered the thematic emphasis of the latter record toward family life, parenthood, and committed affection. Establishing Moshtradamus Records in 2013, he issued his third solo effort, Young Legs, which reached number 67 on the Billboard 200. Two years later came Pixie Queen, his fourth studio album, featuring the hit single "You'll Be Fine." In June 2018, backed once more by his longstanding touring group Good Old War, Green surprised listeners with the fifth long-player Would You Still Be in Love.
