Biography
Antonio Hart, a skilled alto saxophonist who first came to prominence through his association with Roy Hargrove, spent four years pursuing classical saxophone studies at the Baltimore School for the Arts. His early experiences included sitting in alongside Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and spending several years on the road with Hargrove before launching his own ensemble during the mid-1990s. Influenced primarily by Cannonball Adderley and Gary Bartz, Hart has appeared on Novus recordings alongside Hargrove while also issuing multiple albums as a bandleader.
