Tristan Douglas, a Canadian producer, shapes conceptually driven experimental club music as Antwood. His richly detailed and darkly humorous albums examine themes such as artificial intelligence on the 2016 release Virtuous.scr and contemporary relationships on 2019's Delphi.

Douglas initially performed as Margaret Antwood, a pun referencing fellow Canadian novelist Margaret Atwood. Notice in electronic circles arrived with the 2013 Energy Plaza EP on the Cocobass imprint, a splashy and angular reworking of club forms that spanned juke, trap, and ballroom. The 2015 follow-up EP Work Focus, issued on B.YRSLF, tightened his mechanically influenced aesthetic and drew additional critical notice despite a deliberately opaque online presence.

After relocating to µ-Ziq's Planet Mu label, the artist delivered a debut full-length in 2016 and discarded the Margaret prefix. Virtuous.scr took its cue from artificial-intelligence research, territory already familiar through Douglas's molecular-biology background. Sponsored Content, an ASMR-inspired concept album laced with subliminal advertising, appeared in 2017. The 2019 EP Alousia preceded Delphi, Antwood's third album-length work, which revolved around a lovelorn character of the same name.
