Bass Sultan Hengzt

Born Fabio Ferzan Cataldi in 1983, Bass Sultan Hengzt fused his mixed heritage—German birth, Turkish roots, and Italian rap influences—into a thriving career as a Berlin rap artist. He launched that career on the local imprint Bassboxxx with a debut album in 2003. Two more full-length projects arrived in 2005 and 2006, followed by the 2007 Top 30 entry Der Schmetterlingseffekt (The Butterfly Effect). Additional output encompassed numerous collaborations, mixtapes, standalone singles, and tracks exclusive to magazines. Zahltag appeared in 2009 and extended his run of strong German chart performances. After the lone 2010 EP Homework, activity dropped sharply through the early 2010s until the modest rebranding to B.S.H. (Bass Sultan Hengzt) paved the way for Endlich Erwachsen in 2014.
