Biography
Hailing from Dallas, rapper Big Tuck, born Cedric Tuck, built a career both on his own and alongside the Dirty South Rydaz crew. In the early 2000s he began channeling his street experiences into a string of raw, aggressive tracks, flooding the market with dozens of mixtapes that moved hundreds of thousands of units through independent channels and spawned underground anthems such as “Tussle,” “Southside Da Realest,” and “Not a Stain on Me.” Momentum from projects including Purple Hulk and Polar Bear earned him a deal with Universal, which issued Tha Absolute Truth in late 2006; the album showcased Erykah Badu, Bun B, Paul Wall, and additional guests. After that release he returned to the underground circuit, issuing further mixtapes and singles through independent outlets.
