Biography
After Modern Talking, his dance-pop duo, disbanded, Dieter Bohlen initiated Blue System as a solo venture in which he also handled vocals. The project launched in 1987 via the single "Sorry Little Sarah," with the album Walking on a Rainbow arriving shortly thereafter. Luis Rodriguez, a longtime associate, co-produced the initial Blue System releases including Body Heat from 1989, Obsession in 1990, Seeds of Heaven during 1991, and Deja Vu the following year. Starting with X-Ten in 1994, Bohlen assumed complete creative authority, steering the sound from Eurodisco toward techno and house. Forever Blue appeared the next year, yet following Body to Body in 1996 he rejoined Thomas Anders to revive Modern Talking, resulting in Back for Good from the pair two years afterward.
