Biography
An energetic and technically gifted outfit, Blueridge delivers straight-ahead bluegrass infused with contemporary drive and vigor. Respected mandolinist Alan Bibey launched the group’s first incarnation in 1998, issuing its debut album Common Ground the following year and thereby initiating an enduring association with the Sugar Hill imprint. A reconstituted lineup that incorporated guitarist Junior Sisk, previously a songwriter with the Lonesome River Band, appeared on the 2002 release Come Along With Me, which was issued under the moniker Baucom, Bibey & BlueRidge. Bassist Eddie Biggerstaff, banjoist Joey Cox, and fiddler Alan Johnson subsequently rounded out the roster alongside Bibey and Sisk for the 2004 album Side by Side.
