Bob Log III

Bob Log III, the blues-punk primitive based in Tucson, AZ, initially appeared as a member of the art-noise group Mondo Guano and went on to perform as one half of the duo Doo Rag. While touring in support of Ween, Doo Rag percussionist Thermos Malling suddenly left the run, compelling Log to handle the remaining dates alone; donning his now-trademark motorcycle helmet onstage to guard against the crowds, he shaped a cacophonous, Delta blues-inspired noise marked by Latin-styled drum machine beats and vocals routed through telephone microphones. During summer 1998 Log signed with Fat Possum for the release of his solo debut School Bus, after which Trike, the next entry in his ongoing "Vehicle Series," arrived a year later.
