Biography
Brendan Canning serves as singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist while acting as a founding member within the Canadian indie rock supergroup Broken Social Scene, abbreviated BSS. Numerous projects have featured his contributions over time, encompassing periods spent with By Divine Right and hHead in addition to his own solo work. The initial solo effort tied to the Broken Social Scene Presents series arrived during summer 2008 under the title Something for All of Us... via the independent Arts & Crafts imprint associated with the group. Draper Street and SQE put out the follow-up album You Gots 2 Chill during 2013. Several ex-bandmates participated when Canning chose to work once more with the longstanding Arts + Crafts label of BSS for his third solo full-length release, Home Wrecking Years, in 2016.
