French DJ and producer Brodinski, whose restless toggling between hip-hop and electronica evoked a one-man Party Supplies, began attracting notice through early endorsements from 2 Many DJ's, Erol Alkan, and Bugged Out, later moving deeper into hip-hop circles alongside Danny Brown, Young Scooter, and Kanye West. Hailing from Reims, France, he made his entrance in 2007 via the electro 12" "Bad Runner," issued on Mental Groove. In 2009 he curated the mix CD Bugged Out! Presents Suck My Deck and aligned himself with the Southern Fried imprint through a collaboration with Mumdance on the single "Eurostarr." The year 2011 brought another mix installment, Fabriclive 60, while also marking the founding of his Bromance label via the electro 12" "Bromance #1," cut together with Gesaffelstein. The 2012 Chopped & Screwed Mixtape showcased his remixes steeped in Southern hip-hop aesthetics, after which he reworked Danny Brown's "Die Like a Rockstar" single that same year. Rejoining forces with Gesaffelstein in 2013, Brodinski supplied two productions for Kanye West's monolithic Yeezus album. Two years afterward he delivered his first full-length effort, Brava, through Parlophone; the set included guest turns from Makonnen, Slim Thug, Young Scooter, and additional voices.
