Biography
A French dance music specialist operating both in production roles and as a performer, Feadz began his professional path in the final years of the 1990s through collaborations with electro artist Mr. Oizo. Born Fabien Pianta, he managed the majority of the DJ work on Oizo’s 1999 album Analog Worms Attack and joined the supporting tour. His first solo outing arrived in 2001 with the High-B EP, issued on Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control. The 2005 release Forward 4 took shape as a series of joint tracks created with his girlfriend at the time, Uffie. Feadz produced Uffie’s breakthrough single “Pop the Clock” that year, which Ed Banger licensed the following year. His initial solo contribution to the label surfaced in 2007 when “Edwrecker” appeared on the compilation Ed Rec, Vol. 2, with the Happy Meal EP following in 2008. Later EPs included People Numbers Money Business in 2009 and The Unfinished Feadz Fairytale in 2010, alongside production work on Uffie’s debut album Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans, also released in 2010. Ed Banger issued his long-awaited solo album Instant Alpha in 2014, featuring contributions from Kito, Teki Latex, and Big Dope P.
