Crookers

Formed in 2003, the Italian production duo Crookers consists of Francesco "Phra" Barbaglia and Andrea "Bot" Fratangelo. Early on they turned to remixing material from AC/DC, Armand Van Helden, and N.E.R.D. Their major breakthrough arrived in 2009 via a link-up with U.S. rapper Kid Cudi that yielded the U.K. number two hit "Day n' Nite." A 2010 Interscope contract led to the collaborative studio album Tons of Friends, which drew appearances from Kelis, Pitbull, and will.i.am. They shifted back toward underground territory on the understated 2011 set Dr. Gonzo, after which Bot exited to launch a solo career and left Phra to sustain the Crookers name solo. Sixteen Chapel surfaced in 2015 and spotlighted the single "I Can't Wait" with vocalist Jeremih.
