Biography
Born Thomas Joseph Rozdilsky and better recognized by the initials TJR, this American EDM DJ and producer makes his home in Los Angeles. His roots trace back to Danbury, Connecticut, where he first took up record spinning in 2004 upon discovering acid house. Beginning the following year, he issued multiple acid tracks through imprints including Tora Tora Tora and Catalyst Recordings. Around 2008 he pivoted toward an electro-house style, after which his profile surged dramatically. While a string of digital singles and EPs surfaced on labels such as Pop Rox Muzik and Jack Union Records, the decisive breakthrough came via the 2012 Pitbull collaboration “Don’t Stop the Party,” which registered an enormous worldwide hit. He subsequently cut material for larger outlets including London and Spinnin’ Records, generating additional club successes such as “Ode to Oi” and “What’s Up Suckaz.” The year 2014 featured joint projects with Dillon Francis, VINAI, and Benji Madden, and TJR later teamed with GTA, Cardi B, and Chicago house legend DJ Funk.
