Mike Di Scala and Dave Whelan comprise the British electronic duo CamelPhat, whose output spans multiple shades of deep house and techno. Established presences on club and festival stages for years, the pair achieved mainstream visibility through the vocal-led tech-house single “Cola,” a 2017 collaboration with Elderbrook. Additional chart entries soon followed, leading to the 2020 release of their first full-length album, Dark Matter, which included guest appearances by Jake Bugg and Noel Gallagher. Their second album, the collaboration-rich Spiritual Milk, surfaced in 2023.

Formed in 2004, the producers initially issued various digital EPs and singles via Vice and Nervous Records, later securing releases on prominent EDM labels such as Spinnin’ Records and Ultra Records near 2014. Early Belgian chart traction arrived with tracks including “Constellations,” “Paradigm,” “Make ’Em Dance,” and “The Act,” setting the stage for wider recognition via the Grammy-nominated “Cola,” created with fellow electronic artist Elderbrook in 2017. Subsequent high-profile team-ups involved Jake Bugg, Jem Cooke, and Yannis from Foals, while festival bookings became routine at Glastonbury, Coachella, Creamfields, and Parklife. Late 2020 brought the long-anticipated debut album Dark Matter, which gathered earlier cuts together with new material and featured contributions from Skream and Noel Gallagher; the set reached number 23 on the U.K. charts.

Continued activity produced further singles, among them “Critical” with Green Velvet and both “April” and “One Summer” with Yousef in 2021. “Believe,” a 2022 outing with Mathame, preceded the 2023 release “Your Mind” alongside Josh Gigante. Additional tracks featuring Max Milner and London Grammar introduced CamelPhat’s second album, Spiritual Milk, which incorporated further guests such as SOHN, Kölsch, Julia Church, and Desire.
