Biography
Delivering atmospheric electronics laced with wobbly, dub-tinged synth lines, driving rhythms, and catchy pop vocals, London-based dance producer and EDM DJ Ilan Bluestone first surfaced in 2012 via the track “Runway,” issued on the American trance imprint Air Up There. He soon aligned with the U.K.-based Anjunabeats roster, making his bow on the label with the single “Capetown.” Several further singles followed for the imprint, among them the 2013 collaboration “Under My Skin” and 2014’s “Tension,” both shared with German techno DJ Jerome Isma-Ae, ahead of the 2014 EPs Big Ben and Snapdragon. Staying with Anjunabeats, he maintained a steady output that included the 2015 compilation Anjunabeats Worldwide 05 and the 2016 EP Shake the Air, recorded with California-based house DJ Maor Levi. In 2017 he joined U.S. producers Andrew Bayer and Jason Ross for a North American tour while completing work on his first full-length project. That album, Scars, appeared in early 2018 and included vocal contributions from Italian singer Giuseppe du Luca along with additional joint tracks alongside Maor Levi.
