Eli & Fur

Eli & Fur, the London dance duo formed by Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman, infuse tech-house productions aimed at clubs with a clear pop sensibility. Their tracks pair polished, understated rhythms and vivid melodies with the pair’s own understated vocals, delivered in a softly removed manner. The act surfaced during the early 2010s, joined Anjunadeep, and cultivated an audience through releases including the singles “Feel the Fire” and “California Love” plus the 2018 Night-Blooming Jasmine EP. Their first proper studio album, Found in the Wild, reached listeners in 2021. Two years later the follow-up Dreamscapes appeared, an album that honors reflective intervals spanning dusk and dawn.

Acquaintances since adolescence, Noble and Skillman initially worked as pop songwriters, supplying material to Girls Aloud and the Saturdays. They later began DJ’ing, playing assorted house styles across London venues. Original material started appearing on their own NYX Records imprint in 2012, quickly drawing notice from both online outlets and club DJs, especially after the 2013 track “You’re So High.” The duo appeared on Davidian’s Kitsuné Music single “Could Never” in 2014, while their Shadow Child collaboration “Seeing Is Believing” came out via Defected. Anjunadeep closed the year by issuing “Feel the Fire” along with Manik’s “Far Away,” which featured Eli & Fur. Further singles followed in 2015 with “Your Eyes” on NYX and the California Love EP on Anjunadeep. Beatport named them an Artist to Watch, after which they toured North America. Additional collaborations arrived in 2016 on Tâches’ “Lookalike” and Erick Morillo’s “Thunder & Lightning.” The Night-Blooming Jasmine EP surfaced in 2018, elevating their profile within dance music and leading to appearances at Coachella, Glastonbury, and Tomorrowland.

Found in the Wild finally arrived in 2021, split into two sections that separately highlighted the duo’s pop-oriented and club-oriented writing. A live edition and a collection of remixes followed the album, alongside the Camden Cox collaboration “Burning.” Further singles “Skyway” and “Temptation” emerged in 2022, succeeded by the 2023 MEDUZA collaboration “Pegasus.” Eli & Fur next issued the two-part EP Follow the Dark. Dreamscapes, a full-length project that took two years to complete, appeared in 2024.
