Biography
Nashville-via-Texas bluegrass quintet Cadillac Sky operates under the direction of Bryan Simpson, who handles vocals along with mandolin, guitar, and violin, while the lineup includes Matt Menefee on banjo, upright piano, drums, and glockenspiel, David Mayfield on guitar and percussion, Ross Holmes on mandolin and Mellotron, and Andy "Panda" Moritz on piano, percussion, and bass. After inking a deal with the Skaggs Family label, the band issued its first full-length effort, Blind Man Walking, on January 23, 2007, which registered on the country charts. Gravity's Our Enemy arrived on August 19, 2008, after which Cadillac Sky moved to Dualtone Records to deliver Letters in the Deep on June 8, 2010, with production handled by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.
