Cheyenne Jackson has built a career as an actor, singer, and songwriter through numerous Broadway productions and appearances on both the large and small screen, while also issuing recordings on an occasional basis. He spent his childhood and formative years in Washington state, where he gained early stage experience in Seattle, though he did not commit seriously to acting until the early 2000s, at which point he relocated to New York. His screen credits encompass United 93, 30 Rock, and American Horror Story, and he appears on the cast albums for All Shook Up (2005), Xanadu (2008), and Finian's Rainbow (2009). In the same year as the final of those releases, he partnered with Michael Feinstein on The Power of Two. His own solo projects began with I'm Blue, Skies (2013), while Renaissance (2016) originated in the stage show Cheyenne Jackson's Cocktail Hour: Music of the Mad Men Era, which he presented at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
