Jeremy Jordan launched a short-lived music endeavor in the early 1990s prior to establishing himself as an actor. Giant Records, a fleeting imprint under Irving Azoff, inked the fair-haired, green-eyed performer who hailed from Indiana, positioning him ideally for teen idol appeal. Early momentum built around the lite-pop/R&B track "The Right Kind of Love," which appeared on the soundtrack for the popular series Beverly Hills 90210 and featured its video during the closing credits across much of the program's third season. By spring 1993, this single had climbed to a Top 15 position on the pop charts. Success proved fleeting, however, as the next release "Wannagirl" fell short of similar impact, while Try My Love, his sole album, lingered briefly in the lower chart tiers before vanishing entirely, thereby halting his recording pursuits almost immediately.
