Contraband

A brief supergroup called Contraband brought together little-known frontman Richard Black, once of Shark Island, bassist Share Pedersen from Vixen, and Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer. Dual guitarists Michael Schenker and Tracii Guns completed the lineup, which an eager label quickly pushed into the hair-metal marketplace. Beyond modest radio exposure for the energetic track “All the Way From Memphis,” the five-piece’s solitary album soon vanished from sight. That overlooked debut offers nothing beyond passable poodle-haired nonsense.
