Cookie Money

Cookie Money, a rapper emerging from East Oakland's streets in California, conveys gritty urban stories through a smooth yet ominous monotone. His background in a single-parent home amid difficult conditions led him to spend his youth supporting his family via hustling while also enduring gun violence. After DJ Mustard urged him toward rap, he put out early singles such as "Hatin' on Me," "Turnt Up" featuring YG, and both "Yo Bitch" and "Gold Rims on My Aston" alongside frequent partner Philthy Rich. Cookie World marked his first mixtape when it appeared in 2014. Cookie World 2 followed in 2016 and included guest spots from Boosie Badazz along with Rich the Kid. Breakthrough success arrived for him in 2017 via the emotional single "Pops Died Last Week" and the project Cookie World 2.5, which enlisted Young Dolph and E-40 while drawing on production from Zaytoven.
