Danny & The Champions of the World

Having established himself as a prominent force within the U.K.’s Americana landscape through his work with Grand Drive, singer/songwriter/guitarist Danny Wilson launched the kindred-spirited endeavor Danny and the Champions of the World in 2008 via a self-titled debut on Loose Music. That imprint proved fitting, as the Champions took shape around Wilson alongside an informal collective of players that encompassed associates such as Joe Bennett from Goldrush and roots rocker Neal Casal. In 2010 the ensemble followed with its sophomore effort, Streets of Our Time, which appeared alongside the single “Restless Feet.”
