Biography
David Berkeley, a singer and songwriter, draws upon the grounded essence embodied by Donovan, Nick Drake, and Elliott Smith through his blend of acoustic guitar-driven ballads and refined pop and rock arrangements. Establishing his base in Brooklyn, he launched his official recording career in 2002 via the album The Confluence, which initiated a series of projects showcasing his distinctive tenor voice alongside his intricate and melancholic compositional style. His efforts received support from platforms including KCRW and Rolling Stone, enabling him to sustain his output toward the end of the 2000s, culminating in the 2009 release Strange Light.
