David Childers

An attorney by profession, the robust North Carolinian David Childers has earned acclaim as an Americana musician whose compositions feature gritty, bookish songs shaped by heartland rock, country, folk, rural communities, and solitary roads. Biblical themes and imagery fuel his creative drive with equal intensity. Contributions from the respected Nashville musician Duane Jarvis, including some co-production duties, appeared on both Hard Time County in 1999 and A Good Way to Die in 2001. Non-traditional elements marked the second of these releases, including the sitar performed by multi-instrumentalist Eric Lovell on the track "Possibility."
