David Pack anchored Ambrosia as its lead vocalist throughout the soft rock wave that defined the mid-1970s through the early 1980s before stepping out on his own. The 1985 solo debut yielded the hit single “I Just Can’t Let Go,” which incorporated vocal contributions from James Ingram and Michael McDonald. Nearly two decades spent writing and producing for other performers preceded his return to the stage with the 2004 album Unborn.

The Secret of Movin’ On appeared in 2005 and delivered an expansive roster of guest musicians that advanced Pack’s musical reemergence. Anywhere You Go arrived the following year. In 2007 Speakerheart.com issued the five-song EP David Pack. Concord Records released David Pack’s Napa Crossroads in 2014, a conceptual and production venture developed with multiple Napa Valley vineyards that included guest appearances by Ray Manzarek, Béla Fleck, Alan Parsons, Todd Rundgren, Larry Carlton, Rick Braun, and others.
