Biography
An affinity for the Smiths paired with a name borrowed from a Suede track might suggest British roots in London or Manchester, yet this stylish post-punk foursome, led by a onetime male model, actually resides in Brooklyn. The group came together in 2012 with Welsh transplant and frontman Matthew Hitt handling vocals and guitar, alongside Jack Ridley on guitar, Erik Lee Snyder on bass, and Lakis E. Pavlou on drums, drawing comparisons to the Strokes, the Libertines, and the Vaccines. Their first release, the EP Between Us Girls, appeared via Frenchkiss in 2013, followed the next year by a self-titled album and then the 2016 sophomore effort On Desire.
