Emii specializes in club-oriented pop that fuses dance rhythms with R&B textures. Emily Rose Morrison entered the world in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during 1990 and spent her formative years in Youngstown, Ohio, where community-theater productions supplied her first stage opportunities. Following graduation, she headed to New York City to launch a recording career. There she partnered with assorted producers to lay down tracks, eventually drawing interest from the Australia-based agency Slippery Eel Productions. Emii next shifted base to Los Angeles, from which she began securing international live dates. Her first EP, Magic, arrived in 2010; two years later came the follow-up Mr. Romeo, which included a guest turn by rapper Snoop Dogg. In 2013 she issued a third EP containing the tracks “Freakier Freak” and “Time to Move On.”
