Biography
Subtle electronics, effects, and field recordings bolster Eve Owen’s brooding, amber-tinted indie folk. Aaron Dessner of the National produced her debut album, Don’t Let the Ink Dry, which surfaced in 2020.
Hailing from London, England, the singer and songwriter passed three teenage summer holidays at Long Pond Studio in the Hudson Valley, where she wrote and tracked material for that first release alongside Dessner. Multi-instrumentalist Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Paul Simon) and keyboardist Thomas Bartlett (Doveman) added further contributions during the sessions. In the same period she joined the National onstage, among them a spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and supplied vocals to the band’s 2019 album I Am Easy to Find. Owen reached the age of twenty before Don’t Let the Ink Dry appeared on 37d03d Records that May.
