Fall Of Because

Established in 1982 by guitarist Paul Neville and bassist Ben Green, Fall of Because served as the forerunner to the groundbreaking industrial group Godflesh. Drummer Justin Broadrick joined the following year, finalizing the band's configuration. Over their five years of activity, the ensemble issued just one demo recording, Extirpate in 1986, though tracks such as "Life Is Easy," "Mighty Trust Krusher," and "Merciless" later provided foundational elements for initial Godflesh compositions. The three members parted ways in 1987, after which Broadrick and Green reformed under the Godflesh name; Neville contributed to their 1989 release Streetcleaner before his involvement with the former colleagues ended abruptly. Fall of Because's complete recordings were compiled on the 1999 album Life Is Easy.
