Biography
Feinstein operates as a heavy metal outfit led by longtime guitarist David "Rock" Feinstein. Following his early tenure alongside cousin and vocalist Ronnie James Dio in the 1970s hard rock group Elf, Feinstein spent an extended though largely underground stretch of the 1980s directing New York City metal act the Rods. After remaining inactive across the entire 1990s, he resurfaced during the following decade through a solo endeavor that carried his own name and enlisted Royal Hunt vocalist John West together with keyboardist Bob Twining, bassist Jeff Howell, and drummer Nate Horton. By reviving the classic metal approach of earlier eras, the project issued its first album, Third Wish, via SPV during summer 2004.
