Fingathing

Formed in 1999, the instrumental hip-hop duo Fingathing united DJ Peter Parker with bassist Sneaky. A bedroom DJ at the time, Peter Parker first attracted notice from Mark Rae of trip-hoppers Rae & Christian after placing at a 1997 DMC competition. Sneaky, a classically trained bassist then employed at a popular Manchester club, encountered his future partner during that same period. Issued on Mark Rae’s Grand Central label, their debut full-length Main Event appeared in 2000. Subsequent live dates, among them a support run with DJ Shadow, accompanied the arrival of their 2002 sophomore album Superhero Music.
