F.I.R.

The Taiwanese ensemble F.I.R. fuses rock and pop through polished anthems that highlight expansive vocals alongside sharp, forceful dynamics. Their primary breakthrough arrived in the early 2000s via the 2004 debut album F.I.R. ("Fairyland in Reality"), which topped regional charts and earned Best New Artist honors in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Taiwan, propelled by tracks including the energetic "Fly Away," "Lydia," and the expansive ballad "Our Love." Core members vocalist Faye, multi-instrumentalist Ian Chen, and musician/producer Real Huang followed with Unlimited in 2005, Flight Tribe in 2006, and Love, Diva in 2007, establishing the group among Taiwan's leading acts. Fifth release Let's Smile reached number one on the Taiwanese charts for the fourth time.

After Atlantis appeared in 2011 and Better Life followed in 2013, Faye departed in 2018, coinciding with the end of their association with Warner Music Taiwan. The band then joined HIM International, where vocalist Lydia took Faye's place ahead of the eighth album Re:Youth, issued in 2019. The updated lineup's next project, Diamond Heart, surfaced in 2021.
