Biography
Sammi Cheng stands among Hong Kong’s leading talents thanks to her alluring voice and engaging demeanor. Though she has earned acclaim for roles in Chinese cinema including Feel 100% along with its pair of follow-ups, her achievements in singing have proven even more substantial. After claiming victory in TVB’s New Talent Singing Contest during 1988, she earned the Best Female Artist honor from the Chinese Music Awards ten years afterward. Having begun her recording career in 1990, Cheng attained her peak once she joined Warner Music in 1996. The follow-up release on that imprint, Feel So Good, featured the English-language number “I Cross My Heart” performed in tandem with American R&B outfit All-4-One.
