Aaron Kwok

Aaron Kwok, the Hong Kong-based performer who works as a singer, actor, and dancer, stands among Cantopop’s foremost superstars. Only the fellow Hong Kong talents Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, and Leon Lai—grouped together as the Four Heavenly Kings of Cantopop—command comparable renown. He entered the world on October 26, 1965, and launched his entertainment career in 1984 by dancing on the Hong Kong television station TVB. As the decade progressed he shifted from dance into acting, first on television and subsequently in films. His recording debut arrived in 1990, after which he rose swiftly to stardom.
