Biography
After gaining notice via a television appearance, Hong Kong singer and actress Miriam Yeung rose swiftly to become one of Cantopop’s leading figures. Born February 3, 1974, she had served as a registered nurse at Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong before placing third in the 1995 New Talent Singing Awards. That strong showing on the broadcast contest earned her a recording deal. Yeung issued her first album in 1996, then continued to put out new material each year while collecting many hit songs. Her achievements in music also opened doors to acting, especially in comedies.
