Biography
The German hip-hop crew Fischmob earned legendary status across their homeland even though their output remained limited. In the early '90s DJ Koze, Cosmic DJ, Sven Franzisko, and Stachy came together to launch the quirky, hyper, and irreverent outfit. Their first full-length project, Männer Können Seine Gefühle Nicht Zeigen, surfaced in 1995 via the EFA label. Talk of DJ Koze’s production skills began immediately, while the album’s single “Bonanzarad” turned into a massive German hit. The follow-up album Power appeared in 1998, after which the members each pursued solo paths, Koze in particular attaining worldwide recognition. Though the group never formally disbanded, no further official Fischmob material has emerged since that year.
