Fredrika Stahl

Fredrika Stahl, the Swedish-born vocalist known for her work in jazz and pop, began building her career after an encounter with producer Geef. That meeting led to an introduction to pianist Tom McClung, who assembled a band around her and secured a deal with Vogue Records, the French branch of BMG. Born in Stockholm on October 24, 1984, she lived primarily in France for most of her childhood before returning to Sweden to complete her studies. After graduation she moved back to France, where she connected with the figures who would establish her reputation. Her debut album, A Fraction of You, appeared in the summer of 2006 and was followed by a series of concerts alongside artists such as Erick Poirier, Ichiro Onoe, and Manuel Marches. In 2008 she released her second album, Tributaries, on the Jive label.
